SubCargo Dock Shops & Shopping Priorities

Underforge tools, ReCore fuel rods, and Krakken's Arsenal weapons for early alpha runs.

Dock Shops Guide

Every SubCargo dock in the current Roblox alpha from DeltaCore Studio spawns three familiar vendors: Underforge for tools, ReCore for fuel rods, and Krakken’s Arsenal for weapons. Credits are tight on early runs, and shopping mistakes—buying a luxury SMG before anyone owns a welder—sink crews before the delivery timer matters. This guide explains what each shop sells, typical alpha prices, and a priority order that keeps your submarine fueled, repaired, and defended against Larry.

Dock shopping is a team decision. Split purchases using the crew checklist so the engineer, gunner, and pilot do not duplicate tools or ignore the free fuel sitting on ReCore’s roof.

The three dock vendors

Underforge (tools and maintenance)

Underforge is the survival backbone. Community wiki data for alpha builds lists six tools available here, plus a red mop variant:

  • Welder — $230; repairs hull sections in roughly eleven seconds from empty to full.
  • Wrench — mechanical maintenance around submarine systems.
  • Spraygun — utility tasks during operations.
  • Fire Extinguisher — stops onboard fires before they spread through tight corridors.
  • Scrap Collector — essential for diver roles farming seafloor materials.
  • Mop (and red variant) — clears fluids that cause slip hazards or obscure breaches.

Engineers may spawn with a welder depending on crew role selection, but a backup welder is the cheapest wipe insurance in the game. If your crew has zero repair tools, skip weapons entirely until Underforge is solved.

ReCore (fuel rods)

ReCore sells fuel rods at $320 each with three rods available per shop instance in documented alpha versions. Fuel keeps the submarine moving; a rod lasts approximately eight minutes, though ping and engine load can shift that number.

Critical tip: every game, a free fuel rod spawns on top of the ReCore shop. Grab it before leaving dock—there is no reason to leave free uptime on the table. Assign this to whoever shops first during the pre-dive checklist.

Fuel math drives route planning. Read the delivery guide alongside this page so you buy enough rods for the outbound leg plus a safety margin for Larry delays or ballast bugs.

Krakken’s Arsenal (weapons)

Krakken’s Arsenal sells handheld and submarine-mounted weapons. Documented alpha 0.2.2 prices include:

WeaponCostNotes
PPS Pistol$750Semi-auto; ~20–30 entity damage; budget Larry defense
Gepard SMG$1,150Full-auto; fast TTK on Larry at close range
APS$2,120Added in alpha 0.2.0; higher-tier handheld
Mortar / Machine GunSub mountsSubmarine weapons for coordinated gunner+pilot play

All standard weapons except the welder come from this shop. Friendly fire can hurt teammates in alpha—coordinate bursts when divers climb aboard.

Compare upgrades against the tier list before spending pooled credits. A single APS on one player while the hull remains unweldable is a common alpha trap.

Early-run shopping priorities

Use this order on your first serious deliveries when credits are scarce:

  1. Free ReCore rod — always first, zero cost.
  2. Welder or engineer confirmation — repair capability before combat luxury.
  3. Second fuel rod — if the route exceeds one rod’s timer.
  4. Fire extinguisher — cheap safety if fires appear on your map seed.
  5. PPS pistol or Gepard SMG — whichever fits pooled credits; SMG wins sustained Larry fights.
  6. Scrap collector — when a diver is dedicated and loot pays route costs.
  7. Sub-mounted weapons — coordinated crews with stable pilots only.

Adjust when roles spawn with gear. If the engineer already carries a welder, shift slot two to fuel or a budget pistol.

Splitting purchases in co-op

Transparent credit splitting prevents lobby drama:

  • Engineer fund: welder backup, wrench, extinguisher.
  • Gunner fund: pistol or SMG first; APS later after crew surplus.
  • Pilot fund: extra fuel rods when routes run long.
  • Diver fund: scrap collector once combat minimums are met.

In duo crews, merge funds and buy in priority order together—no hidden purchases. Announce every transaction in voice chat during alpha; UI clarity still evolves patch to patch.

When to shop versus when to run

Not every dock visit needs full spending. Shop hard when:

  • Hull integrity dropped below comfortable margins after Larry or rocks.
  • Fuel timer inside the next leg looks tighter than eight minutes.
  • Gunner burned ammo on a surface Larry event.

Skip deep shopping when:

  • You are one short hop from mission completion with intact hull and rods remaining.
  • Alpha desync forced a restart—confirm credits persisted before bulk buying.

Alpha caveats that affect shopping

SubCargo remains in early-access alpha. Prices, stock counts, and spawn locations can change without warning. Ballast and wiring bugs sometimes force restarts—treat extra fuel rods as cheap recovery insurance.

Report pricing discrepancies through in-game bug tools or the community server referenced on the official Roblox page. Cross-check alpha overview after patches for economy shifts.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for SubCargo crews in Roblox alpha.

What is the most important free item at docks?

The free fuel rod on top of ReCore every game. It costs nothing and extends your first leg without spending $320 credits.

Should I buy the PPS pistol or Gepard SMG first?

Buy the PPS if credits are tight. Upgrade to the Gepard SMG when the crew has surplus funds and Larry fights are common on your route.

How much does a welder cost at Underforge?

$230 in documented alpha builds. Engineers may spawn with one, but the backup purchase is still recommended for new crews.

Can I buy weapons before repair tools?

Only if a welder is already accounted for via role spawn or teammate purchase. Unrepaired hulls end runs faster than underpowered guns.

Do shop inventories change between alpha patches?

They can. DeltaCore adjusts economy during alpha—verify prices after updates and note changes on the Updates hub.
